German Nowack 1941 to 1943 jerrycans, 1:35, 10 pcs — a 3D-printed resin set of ten German standard jerrycans with the Nowack 1941 to 1943 mark, from GINGER CAT.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT, in the form with the Nowack 1941 to 1943 mark. The manufacturer gives ten pieces in the package. The jerrycans are fixed to the hull, the fenders or the brackets of a finished model, and they serve equally well as a scenic accessory in a diorama. For this set the manufacturer gives the range of the years 1941 to 1943.
With some makers the shape of the marking did not change for several years, so one set served the whole range. For a modeler that is practical: the containers can be used on vehicles from more than one period without worrying that the marking will be a few years ahead. The maker of the accessory also lists an earlier form from the same brand with the year 1939, so anyone building a scene from the start of the war has a choice. In practice, containers of various years met in a unit, so a combination of sets is convincing.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
