An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Land-Wasser-Schlepper amphibious tractor in its early version (early type) in 1:35 scale. The set offers a hull built up from several pieces, running gear with tracks made of individual links, deck equipment and marine propulsion. This early variant differs from the other forms in the details of its superstructure and its equipment.
The Land-Wasser-Schlepper was a large German amphibious tractor built to carry troops and cargo between the shore and the water. The vehicle was driven by tracks on land and by a propeller in the water; it therefore combined the qualities of a tracked tractor and of a boat, and it was used above all by engineer units.
Assemble the running gear and the individual track links first. Use a thin plastic cement on the joints, apply a primer and paint with an airbrush. With amphibious vehicles it pays to bring out mud and water marks with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
