A resin ammunition set for the German gun of 88 mm caliber with the L/71 barrel in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle or of a weapon, but an accessory for the interior of the hull, for a loading scene and for dioramas. It is made by the Polish brand PANZER ART in its accessory line, the manufacturer's part number SU35-054. Check the exact contents of the package on the box.
The guns of the KwK 43 and PaK 43 family fired the same 88 x 822 mm R round and the whole family could exchange ammunition. That is exactly why the set carries both designations. The Tiger II carried the KwK 43 version, the PaK 43 stood on a cruciform carriage, the PaK 43/41 on a two-wheeled carriage, the PaK 43/1 in the Nashorn, the PaK 43/2 in the Elefant and the PaK 43/3 and 43/4 in the Jagdpanther. Beware of a mix-up: the older 8.8 cm KwK 36 of the Tiger I had a shorter cartridge case and its ammunition was not interchangeable. Among the rounds were the armor-piercing PzGr 39/43 weighing 10.4 kg, the sub-caliber PzGr 40/43 weighing 7.3 kg and the high-explosive Sprgr 43.
Wash the parts of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and do the sanding with respiratory protection. Resin holds only on super glue and a primer is a must. The cartridge cases are long and conspicuous in the interior: play up the brass with a metallic paint, a dark wash and highlighted edges. Compare the rendition of the colored bands on the shells with a photograph of the machine you are building. In the same line PANZER ART also makes ammunition for the 12.8 cm PaK 44 under the manufacturer's part number SU35-053 — the calibers are not interchangeable.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
