MG 151 15 mm ammunition belts, 1:35, 5 pcs — a 3D-printed resin set of five ammunition belts for the German 15 mm MG 151 aircraft cannon from GINGER CAT.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of ammunition belts for the German 15 mm MG 151 aircraft cannon in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer gives five pieces in the package. The belts can be laid into the weapon bay, draped over a box or placed around a scene with ammunition being replenished; printed resin keeps the individual rounds and the links distinctly separate.
The MG 151 was a German aircraft cannon built in two calibers: the original 15 mm and the later, far more widespread 20 mm under the designation MG 151/20. The 15 mm version had a higher muzzle velocity and better penetrating power, but a weaker explosive effect, so the 20 mm gradually pushed it out. Ammunition belts are a rewarding detail on a model, because in them a brass cartridge case stands out distinctly against the dark links.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
