MG 151 20 mm ammunition belts, 1:35, 6 pcs — a 3D-printed resin set of six ammunition belts for the German 20 mm MG 151 aircraft cannon from GINGER CAT.
Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of ammunition belts for the German MG 151 aircraft cannon in 20 mm caliber, in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. The manufacturer gives six pieces in the package. The belts can be laid into a bay, draped over a box or placed around a scene; in printed resin the individual rounds and the links stay distinctly separate, which is not possible on an injection-molded part.
The MG 151 in 20 mm caliber, designated MG 151/20, was the most widespread German aircraft cannon of the Second World War. It was carried by fighters, ground-attack aircraft and night fighters, and it was used in the wing, in an engine mounting and in rear defensive positions. For a modeler that means the ammunition belts of this weapon come into their own in a huge number of scenes, from arming a fighter to a field ammunition depot.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
