German newspapers and magazines 1:35 by Plusmodel: a paper print for Second World War dioramas. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Newspapers are an inconspicuous little thing on a diorama with a large effect. Laid on a table, tucked behind a belt or dropped in a corner, they show at once that somebody lives in the space, and on top of that they give the scene a precise date. This set is a print on paper, so the parts are as thin as real paper and can be folded, crumpled and torn. A casting or a plastic molding could never manage that. It is not a kit but an accessory for a scene.
The package contains a paper sheet with newspapers and magazines printed on it in 1:35 scale. The manufacturer does not state the exact number of pieces. Glue and paints are not included.
Cut the parts out with a sharp scalpel on a cutting mat; in a format this small, scissors are more likely to crumple the paper. Before you lay a newspaper down, fold it over the edge of a thin blade so that it has a crisp crease. It is applied with PVA glue in a thin layer, or with a drop of super glue along the edge. A dropped copy looks best if you wave it slightly and bend one corner upward. Leave the print matte and do not overspray it with varnish, because that could dissolve the ink and the lettering would run together.
The set is supplied as a paper print for further working. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
