Panzer IV 1:35 – the third photo-etched set from the Italian brand Royal Model, which follows on from the previous parts and goes on refining the external equipment of this German medium tank.

The manufacturer divided the accessories for the most widespread German medium tank into several packages, and this is the third of them in order. It brings further thin metal elements for the outside of the vehicle, mainly where plastic cannot compete with real sheet in thickness. The kit is sold separately.
The Panzer IV was built from the second half of the 1930s until the end of the war and was the only German tank to go through the whole conflict in series production. From a support machine with a short howitzer it gradually became a full combat tank with a long gun, stronger front armor and side armor skirts. The skirts, Schürzen in German, are among its most typical features; at first they were solid sheets, and in late production a lighter wire mesh replaced them.
The hanging rails have to be straight and at the same height, otherwise the skirts will visibly sag; use a ruler and fix the parts dry in advance. If you want one of the skirts bent or torn off, do it before gluing it on. Bring out the rust at the joints with pigment, not with a glossy paint.
The package consists of metal parts, not a plastic model or finishing materials.
