A set of the German Panzerschreck antitank weapon in 1:35 scale. It is made up of twenty-four resin parts and a fret of photo-etched parts. It is not a kit of a vehicle but an accessory: the weapon can be placed in a diorama, leaned against a wall, laid beside a figure or put on a soldier's shoulder.
The Panzerschreck was a German antitank weapon working on the principle of a recoilless tube from which a rocket with a shaped-charge warhead was fired. It was derived from a captured American design but was given a larger caliber and with it greater penetrating power. The gunner had to have a protective shield and a mask, because the exhaust nozzle of the rocket spat flame and hot gases behind him. The weapon was worked by a crew of two and its range was short, so it was used from ambush and from cover.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the casting blocks off and level the area, and protect your breathing while sanding. Bend the photo-etched parts over a metal rule. Paint the tube according to the period and add wear where the crew held it and where it rested on the ground. Darken the inside of the muzzle and of the exhaust, because that is exactly where the eye looks for depth.
