1:35 Pytle

Sacks in 1:35 scale

This is a diorama accessory, not a vehicle model. Sacks are among the most versatile elements you can add to a scene. Stacked on a cargo bed they explain that this is a supply column, propped against a wall they turn a yard into a storehouse, tossed around a figure they add movement. They also serve a practical purpose: they fill empty spots and break up smooth surfaces that would otherwise look unfinished. In 1:35 scale they match the usual models of military vehicles and figures.

Building and painting tips

• Wash the parts first in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry.
• Glue them with cyanoacrylate and apply a primer before painting.
• Do not paint all the sacks alike, in reality they differed in age and material.
• Bring out the weave with a dry brush, that is what makes the fabric show.
• Add lettering and markings with a decal or a fine brush, only then does a sack come alive.
• Put a few empty or half-emptied sacks into the arrangement, a full pile looks static.

Who they are for

The accessory suits builders of military and civilian dioramas, modelers who load vehicles and anyone who needs to fill a scene with believable cargo. The work is simple and a beginner can manage it, because the hardest part is only deciding where to put the sacks.

It is not a model of a vehicle or of any other equipment. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
