Two 3D-printed resin shopping carts in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT. It is a civilian scenic accessory with no tie to an army or a period, so it suits urban scenes, post-apocalyptic scenes and figures in a modern civilian setting alike. The manufacturer gives two pieces in the package.
A shopping cart is one of those objects that place a scene in the present at once, and at the same time it works as a narrator: an overturned cart on an empty street says more about a scene than a whole backdrop. In 1:35 scale the wire basket is the greatest challenge, because it cannot be made in injection-molded plastic and has to be folded laboriously from a photo-etched fret; resin printing manages it as a single part with the mesh openings open.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
