A set of wheels for the Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe in 1:35 scale from Clear Prop Models sharpens up the tall landing gear of the crane helicopter from the ICM kit.

A detail set of wheels for a model of the American heavy crane helicopter from the ICM kit. On this subject the landing gear is conspicuous in itself, because it had to be tall, and every inaccuracy on it therefore catches the eye. Replacement wheels with a well worked tire and hub can move the overall impression further than their size would suggest.
The CH-54 Tarhe, listed by the manufacturer as the S-64 Skycrane, was built around the idea of a carrier without a cargo compartment. The fuselage was a slender spine with the cockpit at the front, so the load was carried slung underneath. The machine transported containers, artillery and crashed helicopters, served in Vietnam and in civilian form later found work in firefighting and assembly jobs. The tall landing gear legs were what made it possible to get a load under the fuselage at all.
Given the weight of the real machine it looks better if the contact area of the tire is not perfectly round, as slight flattening helps the impression. Pitch the tire toward a gray-black tone and paint the hub separately, then clean the transition up with a fine brush. Dust from the runway settles on the wheels, so restrained light weathering in the lower part helps. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
It is an accessory for a build. The helicopter has to be bought separately.
