Injection-molded plastic kit of the modern CV90-40C tracked infantry fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the version adapted for international deployment, with additional all-round armor and fittings for service in demanding climates. The hull and the turret are molded in several parts, and photo-etched parts for the grilles and small details are usually included. Check the exact package contents and the number of marking options against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The CV90 (Stridsfordon 90) is a Swedish tracked infantry fighting vehicle. The variant with the armored superstructure carries a 40 mm Bofors automatic cannon in the turret together with a coaxial machine gun, and provides both protection and fire support for the infantry squad it drops off. The version with additional armor was also used on overseas operations, among them Afghanistan, where its high mobility and crew protection proved themselves.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the interior of the fighting compartment first, before you close the hull, because the details are hard to reach later. Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched grilles with cyanoacrylate glue. After spraying the primer and the base color, bring out the shades, panel lines and rivets with a wash and add dust and mud effects with pigments on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
