Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from Amusing Hobby, a brand that concentrates mainly on German vehicles and British post-war tanks but has in recent years also reached for modern Eastern European types. The subject is the Ukrainian rebuild of the Soviet T-72 tank to the AMT standard.
The T-72 was the most widely used Soviet tank and after the break-up of the Soviet Union Ukraine inherited it as well. The AMT version is an upgrade meant to turn the older machine into a usable vehicle for the present-day battlefield: it received new communications equipment, revised sighting and instrument fit for the commander and gunner, and add-on protection on the turret and hull. Externally it can be told from the original T-72 by the layout of the protection blocks, by the new antennas and by small changes at the rear of the turret.
Finish the running gear and the hull interior before you close the hull up, because there is no getting at them later. The plastic parts are bonded with thin cement, the photo-etched ones with super glue. Lay down primer before painting, and only then the camouflage coat. Build the weathering from the bottom up: first a dark wash into the recesses and seams, then dry-brushing on the edges and finally dust and mud pigments on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
