US Second World War backpacks 1:35 by Plusmodel: eight pieces cast in polyurethane resin.
Responsibility details are not available.
Gear dropped on a cargo bed, leaned against a wall or set down by a tree makes a scene inhabited. A backpack is an ideal object for that, because its soft shape breaks up the hard lines of equipment and at the same time shows that soldiers are somewhere nearby. The set contains eight backpacks cast in polyurethane resin, which handles the soft folds of canvas and the straps well. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model and for a scene.
According to the manufacturer the package contains eight backpacks cast in polyurethane. Decals, paints and glue are not included. The castings have to be cut from the casting blocks.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the surfaces up with a file, and sand with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Canvas comes out well if you let a dark penetrating coat flow into the folds over the base tone and go over the raised places with a dry brush in a lighter shade. Pick the straps and buckles out in a different color, otherwise the backpack merges into a single mass.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
