The 5.56 millimeter caliber entered American service with the M16 family of rifles, so this set belongs with equipment from the nineteen-sixties onward. The box itself stayed metal, with a hinged lid and a folding handle, and differs mainly in size and lettering. The set is done in photo-etched metal, so the walls have the right thickness and the edges are sharp, which cannot be achieved with a casting. The decals add the ammunition designation. The set makes six boxes.

Degrease the fret and cut the parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface. Bend them in a bending tool or between two blades so that the edges are sharp and the walls square. It is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate, or soldered. Apply a primer before painting. Apply the decals only onto a gloss surface. Leave stacked boxes slightly out of line and lay a few of them differently from the rest, because a perfectly squared pile looks like a shop window.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
