A metal ammunition box with a hinged lid and a folding handle is one of the most widespread objects in the American army of all. That is exactly why it suits practically any scene with American equipment, from a truck bed to a firing position. The set is done in photo-etched metal, so the walls are the right thickness and the edges are sharp, which cannot be achieved with a casting. The decals add the lettering with the ammunition designation. The set makes six boxes.
According to the manufacturer the package contains a photo-etched fret and decals for six boxes. Paints and glue are not included.
Degrease the fret and cut the parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface. Bend them in a bending tool or between two blades so that the edges are sharp and the walls square. It is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate, or soldered. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth metal. Apply the decals only onto a gloss surface, and leave one box open: the view inside is exactly what gives the scene its credibility.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
