The box contains six miniature injection-molded models of the Grumman TBF/TBM Avenger carrier torpedo bomber in 1:350 scale. They are tiny accessory aircraft meant for populating the decks of aircraft carrier models in the same scale, not a large stand-alone model. Clear canopies are included.
The Grumman TBF Avenger, designated TBM in license production at General Motors, was an American carrier-based torpedo bomber of the Second World War. It carried a torpedo or bombs in a fuselage bomb bay and it had a characteristic dorsal gun turret. It belonged among the mainstays of American carrier aviation in the Pacific.
The parts are tiny; separate them with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic drop by drop. We recommend a base coat and painting with an airbrush before final assembly. The blue naval finish of the late war was typical.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
