A fully 3D-printed kit in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby. The subject is the French CT-10 unmanned target drone, which came about after the war by reverse-engineering the German Fi 103 missile. The manufacturer brings options for French naval aviation and for the Fleet Air Arm. Because of the work with printed parts this is a kit for experienced modelers.
The CT-10 was a French unmanned target drone that designers derived after the Second World War by reverse-engineering the German Fi 103 missile, known as the V-1. It served to train anti-aircraft units and to test guidance systems, and besides France it was used by the armed forces of Great Britain, Italy and Sweden. It is thus an interesting link between wartime technology and postwar training.
The whole kit is printed from resin, so it is not bonded with cement for polystyrene but with super glue, that is with cyanoacrylate. Cut the print supports off with a sharp scalpel or with nippers and sand the marks they leave carefully; on a smooth fuselage every unevenness shows once the clear coat goes on. Apply a filler primer before painting, which will reveal any remains of the supports. It is best to sand wet and with your airways protected.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
