The model captures the configuration from Operation Telic, the British deployment in Iraq in 2003. The set contains the parts of the hull and turret, the running gear and a decal sheet. Check the exact contents and markings against the enclosed instructions.
The FV4034 Challenger 2 is the main battle tank of the British Army, with pronounced armor protection and a 120 mm rifled gun. During Operation Telic in Iraq the vehicles carried additional armor and equipment for fighting in desert and urban surroundings. The Challenger 2 is among the well-protected Western tanks of its generation.
On military vehicles, assemble and clean up the running gear before you close the hull. A primer coat and airbrush spraying make an even desert shade easier. Washes and pigments for dust and mud effects add to the realism; finish the assembly of the tracks before the final weathering.
