Small replacement parts for building the American transport helicopter Boeing CH-47 Chinook in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the windshield wipers, which in a plastic kit tend to be coarse or missing. The box gives the Chinook from Italeri as the target kit. The QuickBoost brand belongs to the Czech maker Aires Hobby Models and produces simple replacement parts for plastic models.
The CH-47 Chinook is a twin-rotor transport helicopter with the rotors in tandem, so it does not need a tail rotor and the whole power of the engines goes into lift. It entered service in the 1960s and in modernized versions serves to this day, which makes it one of the longest-produced helicopters there is. It can carry a heavy load in the cabin and on an external sling, and it copes with hot and high-altitude areas as well.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before gluing so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface, as otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut off the casting block with a saw or a cutting disc, never with nippers, which will break the resin. Sand the mating surface flat and glue the part with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy, because cement for plastic will not hold here. When sanding resin use a respirator or sand wet; the dust is not good to breathe.
