F-16 exhaust nozzle 1:48 (Aires) is a resin replacement exhaust nozzle for Kinetic F-16 kits in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of a replacement engine exhaust nozzle for building the fighter General Dynamics F-16 in the A and B versions after the MLU upgrade, the A and B versions of blocks 20 and 25 and the C and D versions of blocks 32 and 42, in 1:48 scale. The box gives the Kinetic Gold line as the target kits. It is made by the Czech maker Aires Hobby Models. The plastic kit and paints are not included in the package.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter with built-in aerodynamic instability and fly-by-wire controls. It came about in the 1970s as a light complement to heavier types and became the most widespread Western fighter. The blocks of the aircraft given here are powered by a Pratt and Whitney engine, whose exhaust nozzle has a different shape and a different number of segments from the nozzle of aircraft with a General Electric engine. It is exactly this difference that modelers often overlook.
Wash the resin in warm soapy water before gluing, as otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut off the casting block with a saw and sand the mating surface flat, so that the nozzle meets the end of the fuselage without a step. Paint the inside of the nozzle before you glue it on, because afterwards a brush can no longer get in there. Metallic shades stand out on a smooth gloss surface and are applied at the end, because they are hard to overspray and mask.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
