An injection-molded plastic kit of the F-16 fighter in the A version after the MLU modernization, in 1:48 scale. It is an entirely new tooling by the Kinetic firm from its premium range, which brings fine detail, separate flaps and slats and a rich selection of external stores. The decals cover several European users among the NATO countries.
The Mid-Life Update (MLU) program raised the European F-16A Block 15 to a level close to the F-16C Block 50/52, with new avionics, a new radar and the ability to carry modern armament. Vipers modernized in this way were operated by the air forces of Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and other countries. The single-seat multirole machine served in the fighter and in the strike role alike.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and separate the small armament parts carefully. Finish the cockpit with its ejection seat before the fuselage is closed and mask the glazing. Think the make-up of the external stores through carefully according to the machine you choose. Bring the gray NATO camouflage out with fine panel shading and a light wash in the scribed lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
