A set of diorama accessories from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel in 1:48 scale. It contains funeral wreaths and the easels they are displayed on. It is an inconspicuous item that can give a diorama its content: with it a scene with equipment turns into the telling of a particular event, of a funeral, a memorial ceremony or an anniversary.
Wreaths on easels are an inseparable part of military as well as civil memorial ceremonies. Their hallmarks are the regular circular shape, the ribbons with inscriptions and the wooden or metal tripods that hold the wreath upright. The dimensions and the workmanship differed from country to country, but the basic form stays similar across Europe from the beginning of the twentieth century.
Wash the parts and cut the casting blocks off so that the cut falls where it will be hidden. Paint the needles and leaves with a dark base and bring only the tips out with a dry brush, otherwise the texture is lost. Make the ribbons white or colored to suit the setting and only suggest the inscriptions with a thin line, because legible text looks out of place in this scale. Finally even it all out with a matte clear coat.
The set is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
