Bronco JF-17 Thunder is a plastic kit of the Chinese and Pakistani light combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the JF-17 light combat aircraft in 1:48 scale from Bronco. It is a modern machine that is far from common in the modeling range, so the kit covers a subject that most of the big manufacturers leave out.
The JF-17, called Thunder in Pakistani service and FC-1 in Chinese designation, is a single-engined light multirole combat aircraft developed jointly by China and Pakistan. The aim was to build an attainable machine that would replace older types of Chinese and French manufacture in the Pakistan Air Force. The aircraft has combined intakes on the sides of the fuselage, a single vertical tail and the ability to carry guided air-to-air as well as air-to-ground munitions. Production has been running since the end of the first decade of this century, and besides Pakistan several other states have bought the aircraft.
Glue, fill and paint the engine intake ducts before you close the fuselage up; once it is glued you can no longer reach the inside. Modern gray camouflage often has two very close shades with a sharp transition between them, which you will bring out best with masking tape. Pick out the panel lines with a very fine wash — modern aircraft are clean in service and heavy effects on them would look improbable. Fit the external munitions last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
