The injection-molded kit 1:48 Ju 88 WWII USAAF/RAF Bomber from the brand ICM captures the German twin-engined bomber in the form in which American and British units operated it after its capture.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the twin-engined Ju 88 bomber in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand ICM. The boxing is aimed at the machines that fell into Allied hands during the Second World War and flew on with the national insignia of the USAAF and the RAF. It comes from the aircraft molds that ICM created for this type, only with a different subject from the German versions.
The Junkers Ju 88 was among the most versatile aircraft of its day. It filled the role of level and dive bomber, long-range reconnaissance machine and, in later versions, night fighter as well. It was powered by inverted V12 Jumo powerplants. Examples that made forced landings on enemy territory, or that were flown over by crews who defected, went to the test establishments. On them the Allies measured performance, practiced recognition of silhouettes and acquainted their own airmen with what they were up against.
The glazed nose is the most visible thing on a finished model, so it deserves patient masking and a clean finish. Finish the equipment of the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you join the fuselage shells. Fitting the wing dry will save filling. The finishes of captured aircraft tend to have crisp transitions between fields, for which tape or masking putty suits.
In the box you will find plastic moldings to assemble. Paints, glue and further accessories do not come with them, unless stated otherwise.
