1:48 Legends - Douglas Bader - Triple Pack is a set of three plastic aircraft kits associated with the British fighter pilot Douglas Bader.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of three injection-molded plastic kits in 1:48 scale bringing together the types tied to the career of the British fighter pilot Douglas Bader: the Bristol Bulldog biplane, the Hawker Hurricane fighter and the Supermarine Spitfire. The package belongs to the range the maker devotes to the figures of aviation, so it is not just three models but a complete story of one pilot.
Douglas Bader lost both legs in a flying accident on a biplane in 1931. Even so he managed to return to flying and during the Battle of Britain commanded a fighter squadron and later a whole wing. He was an advocate of using large formations against enemy groups, which set off a long dispute over tactics within the RAF. In 1941 he was shot down over France and spent the rest of the war in captivity, from which he escaped repeatedly.
Each of the three models is of a different difficulty, so do not build them at the same time. The biplane calls for patience with the struts and rigging; on both fighters what counts is a clean transition from the wing into the fuselage. On plastic use a thin cement applied into the seam with a brush. Apply a primer before painting and divide the British camouflage patterns with a soft mask, so that the transition is not crisp.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
