A Clear Prop Models mask set for the glazing frames of the Martin B-26B Marauder bomber in 1:48 scale helps toward crisply outlining the cockpit and the gun positions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The name of the set defines its purpose exactly: these are pre-cut templates for the glazing frames of a model of the Martin B-26B Marauder bomber in 1:48. The Marauder has an unusual amount of glazed area, from the pilot's cockpit through the navigator's glazing in the nose to the gun positions, and it is precisely those frames that give the most work when outlined by hand.
The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. It was powered by air-cooled radial engines and had a high wing loading for its day, which at first earned it a reputation as a machine demanding to fly. The B version already received a longer wing and further changes, after which the Marauder became a bomber with exceptionally low combat losses. It was deployed above all over western Europe and in the Mediterranean.
First polish the glazing and rid it of fingerprints. Seat the templates so that their edge lines up with the engraved edge of the frame, and only then run a stick along the joint. Spray the frames first in the interior color, and once that has dried move on to the outer shade; the transition then looks convincing even seen from close up. Uncover carefully, along the surface, not perpendicular to the model.
