The MiG-15 / MiG-15bis stencils RUSSIAN decals in 1:48 scale carry technical lettering and maintenance markings in their Russian form, that is, as machines of Soviet manufacture and provenance had them. The sheet adds the small stencils by the filler necks, covers, intakes and walkways. It is a decal accessory, not an airplane kit.
Large codes and national insignia tend to be a part of a kit, the small service lettering usually no longer. Yet it is exactly that lettering which decides whether a model looks like a machine in service or like a clean molding. On the MiG-15, which served in many countries, the choice of the language of the lettering is one of the few clues by which a viewer can tell where the aircraft comes from.
Give the base under the decals a gloss coat, or a silvery frame will appear around the printing. Cut the decals out close and carry them over one at a time with a damp brush. A drop of decal softener will help a stencil settle into the engraved lines and over rivets. Do not hurry to slide it until the decal lets go of the backing. At the end knock the area back to matte so that the carrier film disappears.
It is a decal accessory, not an airplane model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
