MiG-15bis OVERTREES 1:48 (Eduard) is a package of the plastic sprues of the bis version alone, with no decals and no instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package holds only the plastic sprues of the MiG-15bis kit in 1:48 scale from new molds of the Czech maker Eduard. Decals and instructions are not a part of it, and neither are photo-etched parts or masks. Overtrees suits anyone who has already built the boxed version or is building it and wants another airframe - for a different marking, for a group display case, or for a reworking that comes with a risk.
The MiG-15bis was the reworked version of the first Soviet production jet fighter with a swept wing. It was given the more powerful VK-1 engine, which came from the original RD-45, and different airbrakes on the rear fuselage: while the first machines had brakes of roughly triangular shape, on the bis version they are shaped differently and are strikingly larger. It is by them that the two versions are most easily told apart on a model. The armament stayed in the set of one 37 mm cannon and two of 23 mm.
The build goes by the instructions of the boxed version; there are no instructions in this package. Finish the cockpit and give it a clear coat before you close the fuselage up. Gloss and metallic shades on a smooth airframe will reveal every unpolished seam, so give the seams more time than usual. Decals and masks are obtained separately for this package.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Decals, instructions, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
