A modeling marker with black paint from the range intended for Gundam kits. The paint is in the tip itself, so it is applied without an airbrush and without mixing.

A marker is the quickest route to paint on a small area. You do not have to set up a gun, thin anything or wash a brush; it is enough to take the cap off and draw. A black shade finds a use on a model all the time: on joint and mechanical parts, on edges, on small covers and everywhere a dark tone has to separate two surfaces. The Paint Type epithet distinguishes this version within the range, so it belongs among the markers meant for coloring a surface rather than for other tasks. The paint was created for Gundam kits, but it is in no way out of place on a model from another field.
Before first use, prepare the marker according to the directions on the packaging; with writing implements of this kind it is usually shaken and the tip pressed against a surface several times, so that the paint reaches the point. Apply it in short strokes in one direction and lay the second coat down only once the first has dried, otherwise the tip will pull the first coat off again. Before you run the marker over an already painted surface, test the compatibility of the two layers in a hidden place on the model. Deal with thinner and cleaning according to the manufacturer's directions. Press the cap firmly home after work; the tip dries out faster than you would expect, and once a point has dried it cannot be put right.
The model, further paints and thinner are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
