This is an accessory part, not an aircraft model. Boarding steps are the piece of equipment without which the crew cannot get into the cockpit of a modern fighter: the cockpit sill sits high and there is no way up over the fuselage. On a model the steps are useful twice over. First, they give the scene scale and a story, because an aircraft with steps at the cockpit is clearly either about to take off or has just landed. Second, they fill the space around the model that would otherwise stay empty. These steps are shaped for the two-seat versions, in which the cockpit is longer and boarding is arranged differently from the single-seat machines.
The accessory suits modelers of modern combat aircraft who are building an airfield scene, and anyone who displays or photographs a model. The build is undemanding, as it is a small assembly with few parts.
It is not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
