A fully 3D-printed kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Planet models. The subject is a two-seat biplane of the First World War in Czechoslovak service. The manufacturer gives three Czechoslovak options, among them one military machine and a civil aero club aircraft that is on display today in the Prague technical museum.
The Anatra Anasal was a two-seat reconnaissance and observation biplane built during the First World War by the Russian Anatra factory. It owed its name to the Salmson engine, one of the very few liquid-cooled radial engines ever made; the radiator therefore sat conspicuously in front of the upper wing. After the collapse of the monarchy several aircraft entered the inventory of the young Czechoslovak Air Force and one of them has survived to this day as a museum exhibit.
The whole kit is printed from resin, so it is not bonded with cement for polystyrene but with super glue, that is with cyanoacrylate. Cut the print supports off with a sharp scalpel and sand the contact areas carefully. With a biplane it pays to assemble the bracing structure dry and only then glue it, so that the wings keep the correct angle. The bracing wires are added from thin fishing line or from stretched sprue. It is best to sand wet and with your airways protected.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
