Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels for the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire in the Mk.I to Mk.V versions in 1:72 scale from the Polish company Aber. It is not an aircraft model but an add-on for a kit that is already built. It holds two barrels for the 20 mm Hispano cannon in the second variant of the execution and four machine gun muzzles of .30 caliber. The manufacturer offers the same set in the first variant under a separate number.
The B type wing was a modification of the original A type wing in which the pair of inboard machine guns in each wing half was replaced by a single 20 mm Hispano cannon. That left two cannon and four machine guns. This arrangement was carried by the Mk.Ib and Mk.Vb machines and appeared on early Mk.Vc aircraft as well. The external look of the barrels and their fairings changed during production, and that is precisely why the manufacturer supplies two variants.
For modelers of Spitfires in 1:72 scale who want accurate round barrels with an open muzzle instead of plastic castings. Because the parts are small, tweezers and patience are worth having.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
