An injection-molded plastic model of the British heavy fighter Bristol Beaufighter Mk.IF / Mk.IC in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand Hobby 2000. The boxing is based on the proven injection mold from the Japanese maker Hasegawa, which Hobby 2000 complements with its own good-quality decals (Cartograf) and masking templates for the glazing. From the kit you can build, according to the markings enclosed, either the night fighter version Mk.IF or the coastal strike version Mk.IC.
The Beaufighter was a British twin-engine multipurpose aircraft of the Second World War, powered by a pair of Bristol Hercules radial engines. It was distinguished by heavy gun armament concentrated in the nose and the fuselage. The Mk.IF version served with Fighter Command as a night fighter equipped with an onboard radar, while the Mk.IC version was used by Coastal Command for long patrol and strike flights against shipping. Thanks to its toughness and load-carrying ability, the type proved itself on many fronts.
Bond the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and fill and sand the joints of the fuselage and the engine nacelles carefully. Mask the cockpit glazing with the masks enclosed. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors on with an airbrush in thin coats; the British camouflage rewards fine shading and picking the panels out with a wash. Apply the decals over a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
