A resin accessory made by 3D printing: a civilian bicycle of classic design in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit nor a model of a vehicle but a small accessory for a scene, a bicycle leaning against a barn wall, left by an airfield hangar, pushed by a figure along a village road. It is exactly such a detail that gives a diorama a civilian dimension and brings an otherwise empty area to life. It is supplied unpainted and with the print supports in place.
A bicycle of classic design with a tall frame and fenders is hard to mold from plastic in 1:72 scale, while wire is in turn too coarse. 3D printing can bring out the thin frame tubes and the wheel rims in one piece, so the accessory is sharper in shape than anything that can be molded from plastic in this scale. The classic design of the frame did not change for decades, so the bicycle fits into scenes from much of the 20th century.
Wash the resin in warm water with detergent. Remove the print supports only after warming the part in hot water, because the heated material breaks less and the thin tubes stay whole. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After the primer spray the frame in a dark color, suggest the chrome parts with silver and a fine brush and add fine dust with pigment to the fenders and the tires.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
