Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the American Curtiss P-40K fighter, known in British service as the Kittyhawk Mk.III, in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Smer. The box holds plastic sprues, a clear canopy part and waterslide decals for several marking options. It is a straightforward kit of classic design; on some joints, above all the wing to the fuselage, we recommend checking the fit dry. For the exact contents, follow the information on the packaging.
The Curtiss P-40 was one of the most widely used American fighters of the early Second World War, recognizable by its V engine and the characteristic radiator under the nose. The P-40K version was powered by an Allison engine and was flown by a number of Allied air forces under the name Kittyhawk. The machines fought in North Africa, in the Pacific and with the Soviet Air Force, and they also became famous for the shark mouths painted on the nose.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage up and fill the wing-to-fuselage joint if needed. Depending on the markings you choose, use the desert or the transitional camouflage, and lay a gloss coat before the decals so that no silvering appears. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
