An injection-molded plastic kit of the North American F-100C Super Sabre jet fighter in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The model offers finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit with an ejection seat and well worked-out landing gear with its doors; a decal sheet is included.
The F-100 Super Sabre belonged to the so-called Century series and it became the first American production fighter able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The F-100C version was a fighter-bomber variant with in-flight refueling capability and a more powerful engine, adapted to carrying external stores as well. The aircraft served with the US Air Force from the second half of the fifties.
We recommend thin cement for plastic and careful fit of the fuselage parts. It is a good idea to finish the cockpit and the nose gear bay before you close the fuselage. For metal shades an airbrush and polished metallic paints work well; a gloss coat under the decals will prevent silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
