F-2B 1:72 (Clear Prop Models)

This is a double-sided set of precisely shaped self-adhesive painting masks from the Ukrainian maker Clear Prop Models, intended for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi F-2B fighter in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from yellow kabuki masking paper, which follows rounded shapes well and leaves no glue residue after removal. The double-sided version makes it possible to mask the glazing from the outside as well as the inside.

The real subject

The Mitsubishi F-2 is a Japanese multirole fighter based on the design of the F-16, adapted with a larger wing and domestic avionics. The F-2B version is the two-seater, with a lengthened canopy for a second crew member, used among other things for training.

Use

• You stick the masks onto the glazing parts according to the enclosed diagram.
• You mask the inner side first for the interior color, then the outer side for the airframe color.
• Once the paint has dried you remove the masks carefully and get sharp frames.
