An injection-molded plastic kit of the American heavy tractor M911 C-HET with the M747 lowbed semi-trailer in 1:72 from Takom. It is a large rig for carrying heavy equipment; assembled it measures over 27 cm. The package contains plastic parts and photo-etched metal, and hard or rubber wheels are usually available to choose from. The model faithfully captures both the massive tractor and the multi-axle semi-trailer.
The M911 C-HET is an American heavy tractor developed by Oshkosh for the US Army from the second half of the 1970s, derived from a commercial truck. It is powered by a V8 diesel of around 450 horsepower. Coupled with the M747 semi-trailer it served to carry heavy equipment, above all main battle tanks, and it proved itself during the operations in the Persian Gulf.
Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Finish and paint the chassis, the axles and the cab before you put the whole rig together. Spray the model with a primer and airbrush the finish; a single-color scheme or camouflage suits a military version, while washes and dust pigments on the chassis and the wheels will add the patina. Build the large semi-trailer on a flat surface so that all the axles sit down.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
