A set of masks for the Modelsvit kit of the French two-seat combat aircraft Mirage 2000D in 1:72 scale. Double-sided means that the package holds parts for both the outer and the inner face of the glazing. The canopy frames then get the right color on the inside as well, which shows every time the model is looked at up close or with the canopy open.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine combat aircraft with a delta wing and no horizontal tail surfaces. The 2000D version was created as a two-seat variant for ground attack: a systems operator sits in the rear cockpit and works the navigation and targeting equipment. It is that two-seat layout that makes the glazing a long shaped assembly with several frames, so masking takes more time than on the single-seat version.
Fit the inner parts before you set the canopy on the fuselage, otherwise you will no longer reach them. Spray the frames with the interior shade first and only then move on to the outer camouflage. Leave a good pause between the colors so the lower layer does not lift. The French gray scheme is best blended smoothly, so spray at lower pressure and from a greater distance.
You are buying the mask alone. The Modelsvit kit, paints and masking fluid have to be obtained separately, unless stated otherwise.
