An injection-molded plastic kit of a fire vehicle in 1:72 scale from the Belarusian manufacturer PST. The model captures the PMZ-2 fire tanker built on the chassis of the Soviet ZiS-5 truck. The exact contents of the package and the marking options follow the instructions in the box.
The ZiS-5 was one of the most widespread Soviet trucks of the 1930s and 1940s, a robust and simple machine built in large numbers. A range of special bodies was built on its chassis, including the PMZ-2 fire tanker with a pump, a water tank and firefighting equipment. These vehicles served with fire brigades and with the army, and they are a rewarding subject for collectors of utility vehicles.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Assemble the chassis, the axles and the cab first, then the fire body with its tank and equipment. Fire vehicles tend to have a striking red finish, which comes out well after a primer and in a smooth gloss version. Bring the small fittings and hose equipment to life with metallic shades and discreet weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
