An all-resin model of the American MIM-23 Hawk anti-aircraft missile system in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand Spalah.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a standalone kit, not an accessory set: the American MIM-23 Hawk anti-aircraft missile system in 1:72 scale. The maker is the Ukrainian brand Spalah, which 3D-prints the model from photopolymer resin. It is with missile equipment that printing is in its element, because the launcher is an assembly of thin beams, hydraulics and launch rails that would have to be thickened in injection-molded plastic at this scale. The kit is intended for more experienced modelers.
The MIM-23 Hawk is an American anti-aircraft missile system for medium altitudes and ranges, taken into service from the end of the 1950s and upgraded step by step. The launcher carries three missiles on rails and the battery is completed by radars for search and target illumination. The system spread to a number of armies and in modified form is in use to this day, among other places in current conflicts.
A resin kit belongs in the hands of a more experienced modeler. Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Assemble the thin beams on a flat surface so that they stay true. Paint over a primer with an airbrush and finish the missiles separately, so that they can be picked out in contrast.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
