An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet experimental anti-aircraft vehicle T-60 with twin 12.7 mm machine guns in 1:72 scale from Military Wheels. The real subject is a prototype that did not reach production. Check the contents of the package on the box.
The T-60 light tank appeared in 1941 as a simple reconnaissance machine that could be built in car factories instead of in specialized tank plants. Its chassis was therefore tried for other tasks as well. In 1942 Soviet designers built an anti-aircraft version on it with two 12.7 mm DShK heavy machine guns. It remained a prototype: the design had weak points and it did not reach series production. That is precisely why it is an interesting subject for a modeler, because the assembled model shows a machine you will not find in ordinary collections. The abbreviation ZSU, which the manufacturer uses, means a self-propelled anti-aircraft mount.
Finish and paint the running gear and the inside of the fighting compartment before you close the assembly up. The barrels of the machine guns are thin, so fit them last. A matte shade with a fine lightening of the edges suits Soviet protective green; pigments and mud belong on the running gear, not on the whole machine. Separate the parts with a sharp knife or a saw, not by twisting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
