Resin exhaust UH-2 A/B Seasprite 1:72 (Clear Prop Models)

This is NOT a model but a resin detail add-on set. It replaces the simplified plastic exhaust with a finely cast resin part with a faithful shape, bore and surface texture. Intended for models of the UH-2 A/B Seasprite shipboard helicopter in 1:72 scale.

The real subject

The Kaman UH-2 Seasprite was an American shipboard helicopter of the navy, used for rescue operations, liaison and anti-submarine tasks. The A and B versions were among the single-engine forms from the beginning of its service and were distinguished by the characteristic arrangement of the powerplant.

Building tips

• Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent residue.
• Cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean the cut surfaces up with respiratory protection against resin dust.
• Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), having first tested the surfaces dry.
• Apply a primer suitable for resin before painting.
