A plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Kovozavody Prostejov, which has been making aircraft models since 1968. The subject is a two-seat training aircraft from the renowned Zlin Trener series. The manufacturer has not yet released the detailed contents of the package for this new item.
The Z-126 Trener 2 belongs to the family of Zlin training aircraft that grew out of the original Z-26 type of 1947. It was a two-seat low-wing monoplane of mixed construction with a welded steel-tube fuselage, powered by an air-cooled Walter Minor 4-III inline four-cylinder engine. The Trener series brought up several generations of pilots at home and abroad and to this day it remains one of the best-known Czech aircraft of all.
Injection-molded plastic is bonded with liquid cement for polystyrene, which is drawn into the seam by capillary action. Sand off the flash before gluing and try the parts dry. Apply a primer before painting; a smooth surface comes out best with an airbrush. Decals adhere best over a gloss clear coat, and once dry they should be sealed with a matte one. Glue the clear parts with canopy glue so that they do not fog.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
