Plastic kit of the legendary American Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive in 1:87 (HO) scale from Revell. It is a large and more demanding model for more advanced modelers, with a richly detailed boiler, cab and tender; decals for two Union Pacific schemes are included.
The Big Boy is one of the longest and heaviest production steam locomotives ever built. Union Pacific put them to work hauling trains of many thousands of tons over steep mountain grades. This class of locomotives was built in the first half of the 1940s and to this day they are a symbol of the age of big steam.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and clean them up carefully. The running gear, the wheelsets and the rods will stand out after painting and light weathering; we recommend tying the boiler and the running gear together in matte black and adding dust and rust effects. Apply the decals over a smooth clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
