AT-SHD Precision Aluminum Alloy Hand Drill Set is a DSPIAE pin vise of aluminum alloy with a four-jaw chuck. It comes with ten carbide drill bits from 0.3 to 1.2 mm in a storage case.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pin vise is the quietest tool on the bench and at the same time the one that forgives the most mistakes. The speed is set by your finger rather than by a motor, so a thin bit does not bite in and snap halfway down a hole. The AT-SHD version from DSPIAE has a body of aluminum alloy and a chuck with four jaws, which grip a bit on the axis, so the point does not wander to the sides as it turns.
Besides the holder itself you will find ten carbide drill bits in diameters of 0.3 to 1.2 mm in tenth-of-a-millimeter steps and a plastic case in which every bit has its own seat. Carbide is hard and cuts for a long time, but it is also brittle, so it takes pressure along the axis and not levering to the side.
Anyone who builds plastic kits, resin accessories or figures and needs a hole exactly where they want it will reach for it. Thanks to the case it is also a practical first piece of equipment, because you do not have to put a set of diameters together piece by piece.
The holder is short and sits in the palm, so the pressure goes straight down the axis of the bit and you do not have to balance it with your wrist. A hole is best started by pricking the spot beforehand with the tip of a scalpel; the bit then does not slide off a rounded face and starts exactly on the mark.
The bits are sharp and thin, so keep them in the case when not working and put something under the part while drilling, so that the tool does not run through into your palm.
