Blade bit with an angle of 60 degrees for the DSPIAE chamfering tool. It cuts instead of abrading and leaves a clean edge.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a bit on its own, not a tool: a blade head with an angle of 60 degrees for the DSPIAE hand chamfering tool. It differs fundamentally from the spherical and conical bits in the way it works: it does not abrade the material but cuts it away with a blade. The edge it leaves is therefore smooth and without the white haze that abrading leaves on plastic, and no dust is produced.
For those who already have the chamfering tool from this maker and want an edge without haze, especially on clear parts, where abrading means a repair with varnish. On its own the bit has no use; it needs a holder with the matching chuck. With a blade bit a light hand matters even more: the blade cuts quickly and under pressure easily runs deeper than you want.
The bit is very sharp; keep it out of the reach of children and protect it after work. Work with light pressure and a small number of turns by hand. The blade also goes blunt faster than an abrading bit, especially if you work with resin or with filled plastic, so check it from time to time as you work: a blunt blade stops cutting and starts tearing the material, which shows on the edge at once.
