Aber Engrave plate (88 x 57 mm) – pattern 08 is an etched brass die for impressing a regular texture into thin foil. It serves as a workshop tool, not as a part of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A brass embossing plate with pattern number 08 from the production of the Polish firm Aber. The pattern is etched into the brass and serves as a form on which you impress a textured surface into thin material. The working area measures 88 x 57 mm without the frame. The maker lists it among the meshes and embossing plates, that is among the workshop aids.
In conversions it works well to make a paper template of the real shape of the part first and only then to trim the impressed material to it. You will save yourself failed attempts. Level the edges after cutting with a fine file so that they do not show on the model. When you need the texture in only part of the area, pack the rest of the material during the impression so that the pattern is not transferred into it. For a perfect transition between the original plastic and the new sheet metal a thin layer of putty along the edge helps.
For modelers who take on conversions and repairs, and for everyone who wants a tool for making textured sheet always to hand in the workshop. It also comes in useful when you need to save a build after a botched sanding or a broken-off part, because you can make the replacement yourself in a moment.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit. Material, putty and tools are not included in the package.
