Crystal clear epoxy resin from Green Stuff World. A two-part compound for casting deep water surfaces in dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A two-part epoxy resin in a clear version, made for creating water surfaces and transparent fills. Compared with resins that cure under ultraviolet light it has one great advantage: it can be poured in a thicker layer in one go, so it copes with deep water, a river or a harbor.
The two parts are mixed in the ratio prescribed by the manufacturer and poured into a prepared mold or into a recess in a diorama. The resin cures on its own, with no lamp. The shade of the water is created by toning: a very small amount of color gives a greenish or bluish depth. Surface waves are added at the end with a separate gel applied onto the cured surface.
Work in gloves and in a well-ventilated room; uncured resin irritates the skin and the eyes. The bottom and the sides must be perfectly watertight, because liquid resin finds every crack; it is better to seal the joints beforehand. Mix slowly so as not to work bubbles into the compound, and after pouring draw them out by warming the surface gently. Keep to the ratio of the parts, or the resin will not cure.
An irritant two-part compound. Use gloves, work in a ventilated room and keep out of the reach of children.
